The Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building is closed to the public until further notice per Governor Wolf's Social Distancing recommendations. Operations will continue unchanged, although we do ask that you avoid contact with other residents and staff as much as possible. The Board of Supervisors considers the Chestnuthill Township Recycling Center/Transfer Station and Compost Facilities to be essential to all Township Residents and therefore will remain open. RECYCLING CENTER/TRANSFER STATION/COMPOST FACILITY UPDATE: The other remaining park properties including the “West End Regional Park”, “Big Woods Natural Area” and the “Silver Valley Natural Area” will all remain open for trail use and passive recreation, although in accordance with State and Federal guidelines we encourage maintaining a distance of 6-feet from other trail users and limiting walking groups to under 10 individuals. The Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors and staff have created a plan for our park properties in line with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources which includes the closure of the Chestnuthill Township Park (221 Route 715, Brodheadsville PA) in order to deter group activities from using facilities such as the basketball courts, volleyball courts, restroom facilities, etc. We are recommending you visit the PA Department of Health’s website or the Center for Disease Control’s website for updated information regarding COVID-19 Pandemic. We are working closely with both Local and State Officials during this situation. ![]()
